From the finest stays, to making Japan's regions the world's aspiration.
CEO Message
Honoring our predecessors' foundation, breathing life across Japan
Across Japan's rugged mountain ranges—from the northern tip of Hokkaido to the southern shores of Okinawa—electricity, gas, water, and roads form a seamless web of infrastructure. This everyday miracle exists only because generations before us built it with extraordinary dedication. Because of that foundation, we can live in remote corners, discover each region's unique charm, and travel with confidence.
I see Japan as one body. If the capital is the heart and brain, the regions are its limbs—and the most remote communities are its fingertips. To keep the body healthy, we cannot circulate blood (resources and people) only through the heart. Unless vitality reaches every fingertip, the extremities will wither; regions will become irreversible; and in time, even the heart will fail. Protecting our regions and preserving culture means one thing: circulating money and people back to the countryside. That reverence and sense of mission drive everything we do.
We believe Nara International Airport is the essential pump to drive this circulation. Globally, tourism leaders—Incheon, Changi, and Cambodia's Techo International Airport—are building national hub airports as strategic assets. These are not merely transit points: they are engines for earning foreign exchange, sharing culture with the world, and advancing peace. Nara deserves no less.
If Nara International Airport becomes reality, visitors could fly directly to Nara, then reach Tokyo in 50 minutes or Osaka in 15 by maglev. It would be a next-generation hub for flying cars and drones—a new gateway to Japan that channels foreign capital and energy into regions that have long been overlooked. This goes beyond economics: it decentralizes defense and disaster response while reviving the international stature Nara held 1,300 years ago as Heijo-kyo, using the latest technology.
On top of that infrastructure, we create experiences that draw people in. The essence of travel is going somewhere and sensing the place with your own body. In an age of accelerating AI, we design real, tangible stays that stand out. We envision a major hot-spring leisure complex at the Heijo-kyo site and a ropeway to Mt. Wakakusa. The hot-spring facility would create countless local jobs while giving families a place where children can connect with history. Mt. Wakakusa's summit would become a world-class romantic viewpoint—day or night—like Mt. Oyama Afuri Shrine or Biwako Terrace, bringing a culture of refined evening experiences to Nara.
We believe the only path to truly captivate inbound guests is this: pursue hospitality that Japanese people can be proud of—free from outdated frameworks—and prove to the world the hidden value of our regions.
To achieve this vision, I captain the vessel we call Comfy Stay. Along the route are many small islands—milestones. Each time we reach one, we celebrate together. Where we are headed, what we value, how we act: our Mission, Vision, and Values are the compass for this voyage.
